Sports Markets Glossary

Football
Tennis

The regular time in football is 90 minutes long (2x45 minutes halves) plus the injury time. Only the regular time counts for our bet markets, unless otherwise stated.

1X2

It is simply betting on the outcome of a fixture and it is often referred to as match betting result. You have to predict whether the game finished as a home win (1), draw (x) or away win (2.)

Total

Betting on total goals is as it sounds the total amount of goals scored within a game, regardless of the team.

There are different lines such as full, half and quarter lines.

Full lines:

It is called full lines, because the lines are whole numbers (0, +/-1, 2, 3 and so on…)

See Full Line Example

Man City vs Watforda

Total Goals Over 2 In this case you’ll win the bet entirely if 3 or more goals are scored. In case only 2 goals were scored you’ll get your stake back. If there are 1 or less goals you will lose your bet entirely.

Man City vs Watforda

Total Goals Under 2 In this bet you’ll lose entirely your stake if 3 or more goals are scored. In case only 2 goals are scored, you’ll get your stake back. If there are 1 or less goals within the game, you’ll win your bet entirely.

Half lines:

It is called Half lines, because the lines are half numbers (+/- 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 and so on…), with half numbers a draw is not possible.

See Half Line Example

Real Madrid vs Barcelona

Total Goals Over 1.5 In this case you’ll only win the bet if there are 2 or more goals scored in this match

Real Madrid vs Barcelona

Total Goals Under 1.5 In this case you’ll only win the bet if there are 1 or less goals scored in this match.

Quarter lines:

It is called quarter lines because the lines are quarter numbers (+/- 0.25, 0.75, 1.25 and so on…)

See Quarter Line Example

B. Dortmund vs B. Munich

Total Goals Over 1.75 In this bet you’ll win entirely in case 3 or more goals are conceded. In case only 2 goals are scored you’ll win half of the bet. If there are 1 or less goals scored within the game you’ll lose the bet entirely.

B. Dortmund vs B. Munich

Total Goals Under 1.75 This bet is basically the opposite from above, so, if there are 3 or more goals scored then you’ll lose the bet entirely. In case there are only 2 goals scored you’ll lose half of your stake. If there are 1 or less goals scored within the game you’ll win your bet.

Double Change

Double Chance betting allows you to cover two of the possible three outcomes in just one bet of the 1X2 market. It combines the win/draw for both sides or gets rid of the option for the draw altogether.

See Double Chance Example

Man utd vs Liverpool - Double Chance: Man Utd/Draw)

This means that the user will win the bet if Man Utd win the game or if the game ends up in a Draw. If Liverpool wins the game, then the bet will be lost.

Draw no Bet (DNB)

The Draw No Bet option simply eliminates the outcome of a draw, meaning that players are left to bet on either a home or away win. This market can also be formally known as Handicap (0). In case the match finishes in a draw, the bet will neither be win nor lose and which means that the stake will be returned in full refund.

FC Porto vs Sporting CP - Draw No Bet on Sporting

This basically means that Sporting CP has to win the game for your bet to be won In case this game ends up in a draw, then you’ll get your stake back again. If FC Porto wins the game, then you’ll lose the bet entirely.

See Draw no Bet Example

FC Porto vs Sporting CP - Draw No Bet on Sporting

This basically means that Sporting CP has to win the game for your bet to be won In case this game ends up in a draw, then you’ll get your stake back again. If FC Porto wins the game, then you’ll lose the bet entirely.

Halftime/Fulltime

As the name of the market says, half-time/full-time is a market where the user can predict the outcome after the 1st and 2nd half. To be able to win these bets you have to predict BOTH the outcome of half-time and the result at the end of the full-time.

See Halftime/Fulltime Example

Sassuolo vs Benevento - Benevento/Benevento

In this case the unique possible outcome for you to win the bet is if Benevento wins the 1st half and the game itself.

Sassuolo vs Benevento - Benevento/Benevento

In this case for you to win the bet, Benevento has to win the 1st half but then Sassuolo has to win the game.

Handicap x:y

This market commonly called European Handicap is different from the one we’ve talked about since this is a 3 possible outcome where a draw is possible.See Handicap x:y Example

Ajax vs PSV Handicap 0:2 - PSV

This bet basically means that you’re giving 2 goals advantage to PSV.

If PSV wins the game you’ll win your bet.

If PSV ends up with a draw, you’ll win as well because you gave them a 2 goals advantage.

If PSV loses by 1 goal only, then you’ll still win your bet because you gave them a 2 goals advantage.

If PSV loses by 2 or more goals then you’ll lose your bet.

Ajax vs PSV Handicap 0:2 - Ajax

In this bet you are doing the same thing, you are giving PSV 2 goals advantage, however, here you are betting on Ajax to win the game.

For you to win this bet, Ajax has to win the game by 3 goals or more difference.

If Ajax wins only by 2 goals or less, then the bet will be lost since it means that virtually the game was drawn or lost after the advantage you gave of 2 goals to PSV.

Ajax vs PSV Handicap 0:2 - Draw

Again, in this bet you’re giving 2 goals ahead to PSV, however, you are predicting the exact difference between the teams.

The only possible outcome for you to win this bet is in case Ajax wins the game exactly by 2 goals.

Any other outcome will result in the loss of your bet here.

Both Teams to Score

If you bet on both teams to score it means just that. If both teams score a goal then your bet wins regardless of who wins the match.

See Both Teams to Score Example

If a game ends up 1:0, then both teams haven’t scored and therefore you’ll lose your bet.

Correct score

To win a correct score bet you must accurately predict the final score of the match you are betting on. There is no place for error, it has to be exact.

See Correct score Example

You bet on LA Galaxy to win 2:1 over DC United, this has to be the result for you to win the bet, otherwise no matter the team who wins the game and no matter how many goals are scored you will lose the bet.

Which team wins the rest of the match

This kind of bet refers to who will win the rest of the match from the time of placing your bet. Once your bet is placed the scores technically become 0-0 even if one team is winning at the time. So from the point you place your bet, till the end of the game, the team that scores more goals will win.

Xth goal

This market refers to the team who’s going to score the goal number presented on the market name. So if for example the market is 3rd goal you try to predict which team scores the 3rd goal. In this market you can still bet that none of the teams will score the next goal.

See Xth goal Example

Juventus vs Chelsea - 6th goal Chelsea

In this bet you are predicting that Chelsea will score the 6th goal of the match.

Home team total

This market refers to the total goals scored by the home team. This is an individual market which means that only the goals scored by the home team will count for this kind of bets.

See Home team total Example

SK Rapid Wien vs Sparta Prague - SK Rapid Wien Over 2.5

In this bet you are predicting that the home team (SK Rapid Wien) will score 3 or more goals in this match, if they do you’ll win your bet, no matter how many goals the other team scores and no matter what is the winner of the match.

SK Rapid Wien vs Sparta Prague - SK Rapid Wien Under 2.5

In this bet you are predicting that the home team will score 2 or less goals, if they do you’ll win your bet, no matter how many goals the other team scores and no matter what is the winner of the match.

Away team total

This market refers to the total goals scored by the away team. This is an individual market which means that only the goals scored by the away team will count for this kind of bets.

See Away team total Example

SK Rapid Wien vs Sparta Prague - Sparta Prague Over 2.5

In this bet you are predicting that the away team (Sparta Prague) will score 3 or more goals in this match, if they do you’ll win your bet, no matter how many goals the other team scores and no matter what is the winner of the match.

SK Rapid Wien vs Sparta Prague - Sparta Prague Under 2.5

In this bet you are predicting that the away team will score 2 or less goals, if they do you’ll win your bet, no matter how many goals the other team scores and no matter what is the winner of the match.

Home team to win

Away Team to win

Any Team to win

Betting in this market is predicting if any team will win the match. If there is a winning team in the match, no matter which team will be, you will win the bet. The only case to lose the bet is if the match will finish as a draw.

Highest scoring half

Bet to determine if more goals will be scored in the first half, the second, or if there will be a draw in the number of goals scored on both sides. The goals scored in extra time do not count.

See Highest scoring half Example

Chelsea vs Arsenal - 1st Half

To be a winning bet there must be more scored goals in the 1st half than in the 2nd half.

Half-time result: Chelsea 2 - 0 Arsenal (2 goals in the 1st half)

Final result: Chelsea 2 - 1 Arsenal (1 goal on the 2nd half)

There was 1 more goal in the 1st half than in the 2nd half, so the bet was won.

Chelsea vs Arsenal - Equal Betting on this option means that BOTH the 1st half and the 2nd half have the exact same number of goals scored.

Half-time result: Chelsea 1 - 1 Arsenal (2 goals in the 1st half)

Final result: Chelsea 2 - 2 Arsenal (2 goals on the 2nd half)

There were 2 goals scored in both halves so they are equal which means the bet is won!

Home team exact goals

This market allows you to place a bet on how many goals are going to be scored by the home team, to win a “home team exact goals” bet you must accurately predict how many goals are going to be scored by the home team. There is no room for error, it has to be exact.

Odd/Even

Odd or even is the market you will be betting on when you expect the number of goals in a match to be an odd or even number. It is as simple as that. For settlement purposes matches with no goals scored are considered settled as Even.

See Odd/Even Example

USA vs Brazil - Even Here you are predicting the total score of this market will be Even number.

If the score of this match ends up in 2:2 then you’ll win your bet since 2+2= 4 (even number)
